Laser Capture Microdissection (LCM) Services

Laser Capture Microdissection was developed as a result of a need to obtain a pure population of cells from a tissue.

Stained slides processed by the CFG are loaded into the Autopix and the desired cells are lifted. Isolated cells could further be processed either for protein (Mass spectrometry) or RNA analysis including microarray analysis (Affimetrix Gene chip analysis), Q-PCR or DNA analysis.
