Transgenic Mouse Production Services

The CFG provides technologies for in vivo gene function analysis and generation of animal models produced through pronuclear injections. The basic service consists of microinjection of a DNA construct into one-cell stage eggs, and generation of at least 2 transgenic founders (made as B6D2 F2 hybrids). Mice are always kept in Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) conditions in barrier facilities maintained by Taconic Farms, Inc.
